The Territorial Music Department supports many events throughout the program year, with the first typically being the welcome of new cadets each fall. This event is now a combination of the welcome event and the candidates seminar, featuring several territorial music groups.
Throughout the weekend, both the New York Staff Band and Unbound contributed significantly, elevating the level of worship and providing music for reflection—essential elements of any church gathering that enhance the movement of the Spirit within the congregation.
The New York Staff Band set a warm tone for the welcome with touching preliminary music as attendees settled in. In addition to accompanying congregational songs, the band performed Harold Burgmayer’s “’Tis So Sweet,” which resonated deeply with the large group of prospective officers present. The band also helped march in leadership and other members with Bullas’ “ARC Centennial,” infusing energy and inspiration for the weekend ahead.
Unbound was also present on both Friday and Saturday evenings, leading spirited and well-prepared worship sessions. They energized the atmosphere with exciting praise anthems while also guiding the congregation into quieter moments of reflection. Friday’s meeting followed a more traditional format, featuring a brief set of two songs, while Saturday’s gathering embraced a freer worship style. Unbound delivered an extended segment that included heavy rock to accompany the MOVE dance company, contemporary Christian music, and gospel music, ensuring there was something for everyone.
The Territorial Music Department was delighted to contribute and honored to support these significant spiritual events through its music ministry.
