VIRTUAL STAR SEARCH 2020
In the absence of so many events right now, including the Salvationist Star Search Display, the USA Eastern Territory Music Department is proud to announce our very own Virtual Star Search. This Virtual Star Search gives an opportunity for musicians and artists to compete in Star Search 2020 by submitting videos of the test items in their various categories. We will be accepting participants in the solo brass, vocal, piano, snare drum, acoustic guitar, monologue and dance categories from May 1 until June 15. Winners in all categories will receive prizes and awards will be announced at our virtual awards ceremony!

1. Go to music.saconnects.org/virtualstarsearch/ to find all the information related to Virtual Star Search
2. Look at the ages for our solo categories and decide which categories best suit you.
Level One – Ages 6 thru 11
Level Two – Up to age 14
Level Three – Up to age 17
Level Four – Up to age 21
3. Download the music for your categories and start practicing – ONLY TEST PIECES ARE REQUIRED FOR VIRTUAL STAR SEARCH
4. Download the accompaniment track from our website or practice along with our videos on YouTube.
5. Record yourself performing your solo:
a. Say your name, age, corps, division and category
b. Perform your solo piece
6. Register as a participant at music.saconnects.org/virtualstarsearch/
7. Send in your video to [email protected] in the following formats:
a. Send unlisted YouTube link
b. Google Drive Link
c. Dropbox Link
d. Send attachment to USA East Music Facebook Page
e. Any other means necessary…
